Any tank tests of raceboards?

Looking to make 1/6th race models to tank test. Have foam tail and nose blocks that will work as blanks. Looking for info on old school tank testing.

I made a "water tunnel" out of big plastic containers. You fill the upper one and the middle one, open the valve and water flows through a straightener, across the middle tank to the lower one. A days fiddling and it was good. I used a gate valve for a trailer waste tank.

But I found stream testing to be more useful. find a stream with a long stretch of smooth flowing water. Make a boom with all the telemetry you need (I used a load cell scavenged from a $14.99 digital scale), stick the hull in the water and Bob's yer uncle. Oh, wait, you're Bob, so that ain't gonna work.

Might work off the dock as the current in the mighty Willamette is on the rise. The temp has also just come up to 50.
