Wow, doesn't turn very well, but it catches waves earlier than anything I have ever seen.

Nice video. That's how a 17'5" SIC Bullet surfs--you can catch waves when they're just a suggestion. The bullet has a rudder, though you have to run forward to use it. Mostly you turn as he is, by lifting the nose and pointing it elsewhere.

It's something to do in Miami, when there's a ripple on the beach.

Pretty cool... they automatically adopted a classic 40's style... I guess the style really was defined by the boards they rode and the way you had to surf them.

Hummm.... pointy metal end on a super long, heavy board.

I just might need to drag the16' Blake model out of the rafters. I believe its 60 lbs however so I might need to crane it though the roof.

Yeah, paddle out on a board like that where SUP haters are thick.  Like maybe DoHo.  It would be interesting to see how such a dangerous board would be reacted to by the people who say SUPs are dangerous.  Pointy metal, heavy and long but I'll bet the haters would not say a word.

That is Tom Wegener. He is the guy when it comes to traditional finless boards. He was the one of the first to bring back the Alaia. Very classic style. Joel Tudor talks about how his dad took him out of school to see Tom surf, when Joel was a kid. http://www.tomwegenersurfboards.com
