L41 S3 - vs – SST (split tail) opinions?

Looking for some rider feedback.   After reading about the L41 simsup on the zone, I've ordered the 8’ S3 from Kirk. Now I’m sort of second guessing myself after reading lots of good stuff about the SST model.   Would have to speak with Kirk, but there may still be time to change my order. Should I?  Generally I would be surfing waist to chest beach break along both Florida coasts.

I'd suggest talking with Kirk.  Tell him about your skill, size, break, what you like, and what you are hoping for in a board.  He'll give his take on what would work best.  I did the same, and he thought the ST fit the bill for me. But I'm sure he'd recommend the S3 or another model depending on the circumstance.

yes I did and he recommended the S3. Also like the looks of the split tail and wold like to hear more on its pro & cons. Thanks

My new S3 is almost done. First glimpse looks awesome! Hope to have it soon as these cold fronts have been delivering some small surf.

Your S3 looks unreal!  My ST should be arriving the first week of December.  I went with a similar setup as yours--vnet on the bottom with carbon rails.  Mine is a 7'8.  My buddy ordered an 8'6 at the same time.  I'm looking forward to feeling how the two different sizes feel out there.
