Stoney, I was thinking the very same thing! It poured rain yesterday, I read the entire book, finished at sundown. One sol.

I've had to read it in bits and pieces....busy week. I'll have it finished tonight I think.

I watched The Universe on the History channel (H2) today, episode was pretty much exactly what the book is about...touches a lot of the same science.

Couldn't we all use an extra 40 min in our day...

Page turner for sure.  I really enjoyed that book.

The story was just incredible.  Amazing adventure.

I can hear Mark now, talking to his grandkids.  Taters?  let me tell you a story about taters and why I can't eat them...

I have a new plan to defrost my fridge.  I can toss a couple RPG simulators in there and it will be done in a jiffy.  Thanks Mark!

I've read it twice now, Diane got the audio book and really enjoyed it so a listen might be in my future. Probably beat the hell out of Maui radio. I hate Jack Johnson and rinky-dink, every line rhymes, pseudo reggae with a white hot passion.

Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Alien) is directing the movie featuring Matt Damon, Kirsten Wiig, Jeff Daniels, Danny Glover, and Kate Mara.  Sounds like they are aiming for a Nov 2015 release.

I started it tonight and am 25% through so far.  Great book.

Send some more book ideas, I can never find enough to read (and I need 5-6 for an upcoming Costa Rica trip).

I really enjoyed this book. It was fascinatingly detailed on the science stuff, yet in a way that most of us non-scientists could comprehend. I'll be interested to see how the movie plays out.

Thanks for the recommendation, PonoBill. +1 on the Kindle Paperwhite. It's made reading addictive for me.

I just read the book too, based on everybody's enthusiasm. I bought it as an e-book at about 6PM because I was eating alone at a restaurant. I finished it at 12:30 AM. Couldn't put it down.

Wonderful book, and I'm an English teacher. Well written and funny. I give it seven pirate-ninjas!

Bill has a great library of books. I was helping my Mom with her kindle which is synced with Bill's. If I synced mine I'd never have to buy another book and I consider myself a pretty avid reader. I don't think I've ever met anyone that reads as much as Bill. Family story of him walking while reading and falling into a construction site hole in the sidewalk. My aunt and uncle noticed he was missing, walked back and found him at the bottom of the hole still reading.

That's what I was like. I taught myself how to read when I was three and have been crazy about it ever since.
