Seals are more than a bit scary when you're diving. seeing those guys being so bold gave me a shiver. I've been mugged numerous times for my fish stringer. Having a seal swim right up to your mask and look in your face is not fun. Neither is being dragged around while they take your Ling Cod.

Funny - "I want to visit my little friends" or "look my friend is here to visit again" - this is what my wife always says.  Granted she is looking for cute little babies.

Those seals in the pics look pretty huge - not like the ones we have.  Our smaller ones keep us company wherever we seem to paddle in the ocean.  We have helped save baby orphaned seals at our docks but for the most part it seems best to keep a distance.  It is a bit disconcerting seeing them buzz underneath your board at speed.  And they seem to like an easy salmon on line too.  Funny inquisitive little critters them seals - always watching .....

But would not want to have a run in with one in their turf.  ;)

One time got my board flipped over on the inside at the cove, PV, by one.
He then popped his head out to give me a look, and between the set of chompers and the speed he moved had me spooked right back onto my board.

That's some beautiful paddling you did, looks like another place I'd want to stay nicely up on me board!
