Top pro surfers in sup surfing comps?

In the hopes of creating a superman versus Spider-Man type argument, how hypothetically would the top pro surfers do in sup surfing comps after a couple months of training? How much difference is there between the two, surfing and sup surfing, when the best guys are on these sub 8 foot sup boards? Would the best long boarders be a natural for sup surfing?

I guess so. Just look at Antoine Delpero:
- Two-time world vice-champ ASP longboard (2008,   2010)
- World Champ ISA Longboard (2009, 2013)
- SUP French Champ (2011, 2013)
- Two-time 3rd in World Championship SUP SUWT   (2010, 2011)
- ISA SUP World Champ (2012), 2nd (2014)

They are top notch surfers.  Last time I checked sup in the surf was surfing. They just need to commit.
Another top sup surfer is long board champion Collin Phillips.

Nahhh. Surf SUP's are not designed like longboards nor do they surf like them. Closer to a shortboard.

As far as the argument...I think Kai/Zane would still take out Kelly with only a few months of training
