Futures SUP race fin - anyone used it?

My fin of choice is the weed carbon from FCS. I chop 2" off and it is both my downwind and flat water race. Weight - nothing, no weeds, fast and simple. Similar size to the SIC fin but not as thick cord or foil.

I like the Hybrid Gladiator from Larry Allison in the open ocean, chop and whitecaps on both my Fanatic 14' and my Starboard 12'6. It is great on dw and even if you want to footsteer the board in some surf. Makes the board much more stable and tracks really well too.

If you want the kinds of things this style of fin might deliver, you are probably better off with a traditional longboard pivot type shape (eg. Rainbow Fins Pivot or True Ames Heritage or Slick; I have all of these and they offer various variations on the pivot theme). They tend to offer good stability, decent tracking, and firm control in messed-up water or small surf. But if you like a looser feel and lower drag you are going to have to look elsewhere. Fins are very personal things.

Area10, are you using the RFC Pivot classic or the RFC Pivot Grande?
Wondering what the surface of both are.
Interested in this shape as mostly paddling in messed-up water with upwind, quartering and downwind (as much as can get) in the same session.
