Aw..... It's just a scratch. Nothing a couple of pounds of carbon and epoxy can't fix!

Honestly, It's a great way to get you to try new boards.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Aw man that sucks...please tell me you had a backup. Might have been a little less painful if the drive was short, tons of people out and crap surf...but not on a day light that!

Never surfed a Focus board, but I have been looking at the Focus Rawson 9'4"...looks pretty sweet!

So I have to ask because I really don't know...is something like that worth fixing or are you just tossing it at that point?

The local wave here was pitchy and fast this morning.. I was thinking 'I' would take a beating. Next time, I hope to remember your picture.  My Allwave has taken more than a few endos but I should stops testing it.  Sorry that happened Nacho.

With a little rail tape on the end, SupSurfGiant would still be surfing the back half.

It's totally fixable, and totally worth doing.  The beauty of a complete snap is you don't have to wait long for the board to dry out.

That  doesn't seem right waves are snappy and big in many places say hawaii for instance. I think there was defect  in the  board. and Naish better honor  it with a new board  I would not be spending 17700 plus for a board  that snaps  no matter how snappy and fast the wave is. What is the point in riding a board like that if you can't take it out in challenging surf and with out  worrying about it breaking, Look at rivera A bunch of their nugs were breaking s the redesigned it to be stronger.

Boards snap all the time, in big surf and small, it's just an unfortunate convergence of physics.

In close to 50 years surfing I broke 1 board that was over three years old and had been beaten. The other board buckled paddling thru 3 to 5 foot surf and it was replaced with warranty.
Not saying boards don't break, just saying it is not the normal outcome from a day of surfing and a defect may have been the problem. It surly did not look like the surf was overpowering in the picture and I understand the forces.
If it is fairly new I would submit a warranty claim and let the manufacturer sort it out.

If the board broke from burying the nose in the sand then go find another board as that is not covered by warranty.
