This is my pal Loch Eggers riding a wave that some call, the fastest wave in the world... on a SU.  I've always thought a SUB would be too slow for the very fastest waves but Loch put on a clinic out there.  He finally got creamed in the tube and ripped his shoulder.  Showed him my icing routine and he was stoked.  Anyway a great pic from his nose mount with windmills in the back.

Loch is one of those guys that quietly does stuff that no one else would do. I was out at tidy bowls two years ago (upper Kanaha) and Loch shows up with a camera, swimming. Hard to believe. Yeah, he had fins, but that's a tough swim when your leash breaks and you go one way. Swimming all the way out, hanging out for an hour, then swimming back?

Headmount

We had a good run of swell here in Santa Cruz last week.  I'm going to have to get a camera, cause I know you won't believe me when I say "It looked just like that"

I was so stoked I took 2 days off to recover from the rinse cycle...

hm... great shot.... I'd like to see his mount...... looks like it would be tough on the board. Lots of leverage to damage the board during a wipeout, but a great perspective.
