Stunning Drone Video
« on: September 01, 2014, 08:49:37 AM »
Keahi de Aboitiz is benched with an injury for a while.... so he bought a drone and made a video of Noosa Australia longboarding.... Stunning.

The best video yet.... I have been on a longboard SUP kick lately, so the view looking straight down, shows how the different shaped boards interact with the wave.
Very cool info in this beautiful video.

Great use of "Bench" time Keahi  ;D ;D ;D

Wow! That really is great footage and amazing foot work. Cool song too.

Is Noosa a no SUP zone??

That was fun to watch. He's got great flight skills.

Wow, very cool. Makes me want to start flying my drone again. I've been working too much on autonomous drones and not playing. Really stupid. I was out in the OC6 this morning watching the channel swim--500 swimmers crossing the Columbia. Why I didn't film that from my H2O is beyond me.

Really fun seeing those big longboards all stalled out and shoving water.

Why is it that I think that if I tried something like that at my weight that I would have a board plant on the back of my head?

Weight doesn't have much to do with it, stalling the board is the secret.

Great use of a drone.  He changed POVs slightly which was very cool.  The straight down was kinda cool after the beginning 45 degree shots.

Noosa can of course be one of the great PBs of the world.  Even on a small day like that, it was spectacular.

He probably moved the camera, but you don't really have to, you can change the attitude of a quad, though it's a tricky thing to do.
