any advice on sup surfing saladita's
« on: August 30, 2014, 02:53:17 PM »
Hey there, any advice on taking a sup down to saladita's? I have been invited on a pretty cool surf trip, where most of the guys ride regular boards or prone boards, which I have no problem doing but would like to sup surf if I can..  Anybody hear anything about this place?

It's a great longboard wave but the lineup frowns on SUPs in the early morning when it is good. Typically you'll have to wait until the morning crowd gets out before paddling out on a SUP. Its pretty crowded most of the time but you can get some long rides.

in fact, that's what corky carroll told me when i asked him about SUP at the place.  sure, you can come here but you'll never get a wave in the morning or when it's good and glassy, and, actually, we'd rather you didn't come here at all.  nuff said.  i didn't go.

When Corky was commentator for last years BOP, I wanted to ask him if he allowed SUPs at his new home break in Mexico. Seemed like he was pretty hypocritical from what I've heard his say about SUPs.
