A kelp berm at the water's edge, that was about 3' deep, and went from one end of the beach to the other, that I had to muck thru to reach the water.
But it was worth it.  :)

In one of the recent Malibu videos, I saw a guy wearing a full suit, booties and a hood.

Odd?  Hell yes.

SWly,  ..maybe your water is a little cooler than ours;  I saw a full suited guy on Thurs. here - water temp in low/mid-70s. (people from Fl come here and freeze...)

Your guy may have had Lupis.  Back when I made rash guards, I did a long sleeve top with full head cover and full bottoms for a guy in FL who simply crashed with too much Sun.  He was like in his late 20's when it hit him.  He needed to move to Cape Breton...

There's an older gent who lives around Privates and usually surfs a Gerry Lopez 9' Surf Music, but once in a while he's on a standard blue WaveStorm.

I asked him which he liked better and he said for L41 surf, he actually liked the WaveStorm a little better.  He thought the Lopez was a "Hawaiian condition" board and the WaveStorm was better for local conditions.

Is see one of the surf instructors on a WaveStorm sometimes, he pops up backwards and baton twirls it on the wave in between student waves when a wave is big enough.
