Are you a Cruiser, a Carver, or a Slasher?
« on: August 29, 2014, 12:32:17 PM »
In my minds eye I'm between a Carver and a Slasher. It's the skater in me. If I were to actually watch myself these days on a video, I bet I look more Carver-Cruiser. No one video me please!
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

In my minds eye I am a carver  but   I may be a cruiser. definitely not a slasher.  But who knows  maybe I ride better than I think but most likely  NOT!! sometimes I just fall standing still.

I try for all three at times....how successful I may be at any one of them, is often times debatable. :( :D

I'm a cruiser at best right now. How would you define a carver vs a slasher (any video examples)?

I'd like to get my cruising a little more fluid/graceful and add some carving ability, I think.

Carver/mild slasher?
However I thought I was a runner until the other day I caught my reflection in a glass building as I was running? by.
I looked like a rusty robot about to seize up and vapor lock.
Just went in for my colonoscopy consult. Who knew turning 50 could be so much fun?

At this stage of life I'll probably never make it past cruiser, which is ok by me.  I can carve a decent bottom turn on a wakesurf board, but it's only 4' 8" and the wave is always the same.

I thought I was a carver. I felt like I was doing top turns and bottom turns and I could feel the fin break free every now and then.

My wife filmed me a bit with her phone the other day. I can say now for certain, I am none of the three.

I look like Shrek doing the hula while stabbing a snake with a pitchfork. At best.
