Now we need to wax our pads... ::)  What are you going to do next...velcro slippahs? Maybe get one that has some grip to begin with?

Sea dek.
Cut to shape
Bevel edges with 220 grit
Place & roll it out with wallpaper seam roller.
Superglue edges to board.
You've got a sweet pad indefinitely.

Ive done these pads 3 or 4 times. With sea dek and with hydroturf.

linter...how important is good grip to you? I don't think there is a pad made that works as well as a mosaic made from cut pieces.

very cushy pad - Greg a regular out my way put one of these on his board and loves it.  I'm thinking about it too.

stoney: actually, good grip isn't that important to me.  i have to wear booties all the time, no matter what season or where, so i get pretty much all the traction i need w/ them.  thanks for the suggestion, tho.

btw / how much did johnny law tag you for this morning?  or did you talk your way out of it?

OAM On A Mission just released Dave Boehne's signature traction pad.

It's pretty killer with the holes. Not sure if i've felt a lighter pad ever. Has all the bells and whistles Arch, big kick etc...
Comes in a few colors too...

Seadek recently changed their manufacturing method of their SUP pads. Time to find an alternative, unfortunately.

it's a longboard sup based on the design of the old school longboard pig.  best, funnest (and heaviest, sadly, though a lighter version is in the works) board i've ever ridden, for how i like to ride.  pix tell the rest of the kooky story:

Wow...loving that DB signature pad.

I didn't even look at the ticket...just stuffed in the glove box. He said I could get it wiped if I contest it since I have no other RI speeding tickets in the last 3 years....I just hope there are some waves on the court date.... ;)

I recently replaced the pad on my Starboard with a Seadek. In IMO it’s the best pad out there.
