Hudson River Paddle For a Cure 2014

For anybody in the Tri-state area, the 2014 Paddle for a Cure will be n Saturday, September 6. This will be a scenic nine-mile paddle from Beacon to Cold Spring. Those interested in a longer paddle can add some distance on a side journey up a stream. This paddle will offer a poker hand raffle for anybody completing the event.

Highlights of this event include historic Bannerman's Castle, West Point, Storm King Mountain, and Breakneck Ridge.

If you need to rent a SUP, StandupMotion (StandupMotion.com) will be renting at reduced prices for the event.

I wish I had known about this sooner, I would have made plans to attend. I have to find a news feed for upstate New York SUP events because this is the second time that I don't find out about a paddle until a week before (the other was Cayuga).

Apologies that I can't make it. This is our kind of event since kayakers can take part but hubby needs close to three weeks lead time to get a day off. His late work schedule is not conducive to being on the road by 5:00am to make sure we don't miss a start.

I'll keep you in mind for other events. We have so few SUPers where I live I often forget to post, but I won't neglect that next time.
