Wow. Water throws off the nose like a mini barreling wave.

Seriously, they should be paying you for advertising like that  :)

It looks like an Orca (2:25)

I don't think I could put all that tape on a shiny new board (I imagine you are using the same setup that you used on your Glide)...

No.. no tape required.. I'll try and take a pic showing how I got that angle..

Hey DJ, thanks as usual for all the great technical photos and video.  Do you happen to know what your board weighs and what the LE is supposed to weigh? Just curious how much lighter a board you get for another $1000.

Hej DJ,

Great vids- hope Naish is doing right by you.

It seems that in flat water its best to stand back a bit and let the flat V nose plane a bit.

Whats your impressions of speed on flat water with nose making those waves off the piercing bow ? Is it better to step back?

Im wondering what the hard rails do at the nose.

This design is most radical i have seen- Boof nose, elf shoe nose, cutting/displacement nose- all these are not surprising at all- seen on kayaks, surfskis, prone boards, or sculls.  this one is new and breaks all conventions.

More vids! in Chop, side chop and of course your signature DW vids :)

Thanks.. I know the guys at Naish here in Oz and they do give me a discount on my boards.. Much like having a friend at a shop I guess..

The hard rails at the nose does a few things I think.. They stop the sprinklering that happens when water sucks around a soft rail.. and I think it helps to separate the board from the water after pearling.. and also gives a small planing area under the nose.. I did a light wind downwinder yesterday.. and a dawn downwinder today in much better winds.. The board was awesome.. So stable.. So fast.. Loving it..  :)
