The Wedge is going off right now with about 5 thousand people on the beach watching, and about 100 people in the water, mostly spongers and proners, haven't seen any SUP'ers out this time yet.
20' faces on the set waves.  :o
It takes a quiver to do that.

Surfline says Good to Epic.

I have never seen them say Epic before.

I have some photos and screen grabs I'll post later after I doctor them up.

Heard Jaime O Brian paddled in on a Foamie with his short board on the nose,
jumped off the Foamie and on to the short board and made the wave...
We will see that one later for sure..he has been puling that off at Pipeline...

I know this is going to sound funny after talking about the wedge being so huge but does anyone know about the more rare breaks like Cloud break @ Seal or even Belmont shore?

Was in the water last weekend talking to a proner from Long Beach about Belmont breaking and being surfable how it'd be fun for the novelty.

Cloud Break isn't showing. Neither is ester.  The river in Seal is really good.... Nothing but A frame 2 jetties south.

Cloud Break and Ester are W-NW Breaks

I looked at San Gabriel River..looked ok. Some really long rides.
Kinda mushing over with the occasional steep section.

Anderson looked the best as far as paddle out and corners.

HB shifty, strong currents, hard to time. Worth watching though.

Someone's fixing to get a sand enema.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

As I got to the Point in Newport, a guy was telling a story about a SUSer that just waited outside for a long time.  Then He took a set wave.  He was going on about the ride, how the guy handled his paddle etc..  The guy got tubed big time.  The beach just exploded with cheer.  I'm guessing waves were 8'-10'.
I saw an older photographer with long blond hair, that I've seen SUS at Blackies.  So, I asked hime if he knew who it was.  It was Daniel Hughes.  He said that there was another wave in front of Daniel.  So, he wasn't sure if he got the shot.
