[Ichabod Spoonbill]

I'm signed up, God help me. Nineteen miles. Let's just say I'll be there to make the winners look good.

I'm going to do eighteen on Tuesday as a trial run. The tide will be with me for about the second half of the run, so that should be a good indicator of adverse conditions. Wind is supposed to be light and variable, but on the Hudson River, variable is normal. So we'll see.

My route will be Beacon to Peekskill if anybody's interested in relatively obscure towns on the Hudson River.

I just came back from my practice run. I did about eighteen miles in five and a half hours on a 12'6". The tide was never really with me, so I'm relatively happy with that time. Next week is a nine mile run on the Paddle For the Cure. Plus I'll have practice runs in between.
