Good times and great memories Creek. Breaks do change, usually a result of coastal development. Seawalls cause sand to shift. River mouths with higher concentrated force water pushed out through concrete estuary's change the shoreline. For better or worse, there is hope. This last swell proved that anything is possible.
It's not overhead to me!

Wow what a place! If you learn your craft there I reckon you can take it anywhere. Looks like quite an unforgiving wave at times

I overheard a tourist looking at the drop ins at the Hook by 41st Street Santa Cruz a couple of days ago.  He said he was from Texas and he was talking to a guy about the lack of courtesy.  He said "A lot of those guys don't look like they know how to surf."

I would have expected that kind of comment from someone from Hawaii, but not Texas.

#1 - Classic Newcombs Hollow - Gary Brook was the best tube rider of the bunch.
#2 - Me at Nauset Light, last one out on a big day.... low tide suck-ups and howling offshores made it near impossible to catch on my 6'4 Canyon

Wait a minute.... you're saying guys actually surfed BEFORE there was GoPro?   Why?  ::) ;D

What a great video!  Would be great if Standup Journal could do the same type of video on paddle surfing that area.

Funny… after 50 plus years I much prefer watching stand up paddle surfing over lay down surfing now ;)
