Looks like epic conditions but what's with all the foreplay, do you always have to fondle your gear to warm it up for a smooth ride?

I actually feel that way about my old 12'2". The only board I have that gives me a little thrill every time I take it off the rack. Kind of sick. Of course the thrill might be anticipation of a wet run, which is inevitable with that skinny little rockerless bastard.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
