Battle of the Paddle 2014 ..../.....
« on: July 30, 2014, 12:23:09 PM »
Just in...  The courses  http://battleofthepaddle.herokuapp.com/courses  The distance course is now a circuit course with 7 buoy turns, making the use of an unlimited even less appealing.

They have a Plan A and Plan B.  http://origin.library.constantcontact.com/download/get/file/1102987427605-216/2014+BOP+Expo+A+%26+B+Site+Map+.pdf

The schedule.. http://battleofthepaddle.herokuapp.com/about#schedule

You are going to have to train just for the long board carry you'll have down to the beach. I guess if you stay at the Ritz, you could get a bell hop to carry it for you?
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Maybe if everyone from the zone threw in $10, we could rent a room at the Ritz and we could all store our boards there.

I can see it now. A whole row of crappy old Sienna vans and Elements pulling into the valet parking. Then everyone checking into the same room in board shorts. I didn't see anything about random drug testing, so we're cool ;)

Bumped into Gerry on the downwinder today. Meant to say something about the course and a little WTF about Salt Creek, but he was gone too quick. He was on a skinny Naish LE Jav and scared the crap out of me sneaking up under my armpit out of nowhere. Pretty fast on that little thing.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
