Summer Vortex Swell
« on: July 22, 2014, 08:08:03 AM »
Three days of waves and the "Vortex" made for some nice cool temps here in NJ for July. Water temps were BRUTAL the first day, around 55!

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Really enjoyed your vid - some great shots and music.  Where was this shot? My guess is LBI around Ship Bottom.

Thanks for posting this!

As I mentioned on FB where the video was also posted...Learn to get on that tail and turn the F*#ker...it's an 8'0 not a log!

You have trimming down! Now see what that board really offers when you get back on the tail!

Hmmm? I don't think I saw those comments. Exactly which post on fb was that? I put the vid on a few different pages. Thanx for the STERN advice though. I think I could use some expert lessons to learn a proper tail turn. But maybe one day I'll figure it out on my own!

On the CoreVac FB page.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk. You really do trim the board great frontside and back. I just think you'd be wow'd if you stepped back on the tail. You'd be able to get out in front of the wave and crank a powerful bottom turn then whack the lip. It will also help with late drops and you will see how loose it can surf. These Assassin's can handle it all. Enjoy! Great purchase!!!

I know, I was totally cool w/ur critisism. It was only the second sesh with the board and it wasn't a real lined up wave. Yea, that's it, blame it on the wave!  ;D I can't wait to get this thing out at our local "Point break" type wave or up to Judith, RI to really let it cut loose.
Here's a vid of our coveted "Point break" type wave.
