It seems to me the KITV was trying to make something out of it...one lawyer douche calls DLNR they call to a meeting. i think that is a bit excessive though. DLNR are generally doing a decent job over here. Last time they started regulating parts of Ala Moana and it was for the best for SUP'ers

Thanks Taut! this thread has done something i havent been able to do for years with other people e.g. surfers at the break where i SUP...communicate...now that I know that theyre reading this and have read my past posts, let me say this, ...i apologize that i choose to SUP, i cant help it, its too fun, say what you like as loud as you like, do what you gotta do, and do what you do, if you think this site is bad, my facebook page is 10x worse with all the video and audio i need from other guys at the spot that only makes me want to keep doing what i do, have fun and just surf and mahalo for all the motivation. peace out.

Was at Alamoana today, of the 20 or so at the break we were surfing there were 8-9 sups, you can see the shift happening.  Last year there would have been 1 maybe 2 sups there.

Ditto.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

this is great-seems a small amount of momentum is being generated
Myself and others with HPWA are watching-we have spies in the land...
If i can ask can we put these sup advocacy related threads in the SUP Advocacy section so i can check these for traffic and updates.
Reason being i am compliing info for future HPWA response regarding this issue and the PFD.

Spread the word everyone!-if you have other SUP contacts like Manufacturers-board shops-etc...
