Who needs an ocean?

Bring your smallest board, paddle out knee deep, get 20 waves, go to work with fresh chlorine in the hair.  Ahhhh, surfing.

Small boards with thin nimble people riding them.

I wonder how good the wave would look with a
200 pound chubby man cruising on a 12 foot Laird.

The pro shop has an overstock of bikinis that need to move, move, move.  Now 50% off.

It would probably look awful; picture a scene from a shopping mall at an undisclosed Canadian location ;D

The surfing is impressive but I'm not that impressed by the wave machine. Geauga Lake amusement park in Ohio had a similar wave machine back in the 80's. Ofcourse I was only there when it was packed with kids so no real surfing ever happened.

Supposedly Disney's Typhoon Lagoon has the occasional "surf" times, but I couldn't find anything online about SUP there. I've been there a few times and I think it's definitely possible to catch a wave on.

Here's a video from last year:

Yikes!  .  Even though I realize that young American hot shots need to go to where ever in the world to spread the gospel of SUP and promote their image , there's a part of me that cringes, like when Pinocchio gets bamboozled by the coachman to go to Pleasure Island where they become slaves and donkeys.  Yes Pinocchio.  Check it out.  It's not Lassie comes home.
