sharks, facebook, photoshop, and the news
« on: April 24, 2014, 02:54:34 PM »
So, there's a surf spot that we can only get to by boat. My buddies were coming back from there and took a picture of a dolphin and posted it for their facebook friends and tongue in cheek called it a shark. Another friend photoshoped it and reposted it. We've been commenting on this picture for a week or so, and now it is on the local news.

It was also on one of the other station's web page this morning, but has been pulled.

A shark expert tells 10News that San Diegans should be seeing more great white sharks like the one was spotted by a kayaker off Point Loma just days ago.

Photoshopped or not, a shark in the ocean certainly qualifies as front-page news.
