Here's one of the most critical waves in the area..

I made this vid before I had a good tripod, so please forgive a wee bit of wobble.

This wave was only really discovered about 15 years ago and stayed secret for about another ten years with only a couple of regular chaps out there. It can handle swell over six foot and I have seen it double over head, spitting barrels with nobody brave enough to take it on. Its in East Lothian. :)

Recognise it?

Nope!

found out one on my doorstep which works very well on big easterlies but just a pain to get to it with the SUP.....proners go there often but never been SUP'd as far as I know....still - some things are best left a challenge.

Aye.. Plenty of challenges to be had in Scotland, which is why I love it!

Here's a challenge I did a few years back! A solo paddle around Bass Rock, from Canty Bay

Aye.....looks like you are pioneering it a fair bit on the SUP.......bound to be a first I reckon.....that wee bay.....how do you get down to it.....is it via the house on the left or further on? I think if I tried Bass Rock I would end up in Norway.

I did a wee trip this am on my new Naish to Aberlady bay and back......just in time before the wee yin got up ready for Easter eggs. Put a couple of pics in the sessions thread.....probably the wrong place again.

Nice vids.  Aberlady, is that where those midget subs are from WWII?
Never get to Scotland enough.  Always have an ace time up there.  Will have to take the SUP next time.
