Any good coaches in Sacramento area for lessons?
« on: March 16, 2014, 11:02:15 AM »
Any recommendations for a good private lessons in Sacramento area? I've been paddling since this summer, working the vid material from Larry Cain & Jim Terrell.

I've already had to scrap and reset my stroke a couple of times now and thought it might be worth an hour or two of private lessons to catch any obvious misses.

I'm pretty much on flat water stuff around here, Tahoe, and auburn. Might try the SF bay sometime in the am before wind kicks up.

Thanks for any recommendations.

I paddle around Sac. I don't know of any serious paddle instructors in the Sac area.
101 Sport in San Rafael is a good start.  I have had a good lesson with staff at  Covewater in SC but that is a ways away.

Great thanks - I've been in contact with 101 already and was leaning in that direction if I couldn't find any around

I've had a couple of great private lessons with David of 101 surf sports. Took my paddle technique up dramatically. Prob go do a couple more.

I paddled with the outrigger canoe club http://www.huiohawaiisacramento.org/ on Lake Natomas and learned a ton.  They have a bunch of extremely knowledgeable guys.
