Indoor Surfing
« on: March 12, 2014, 06:19:05 AM »
A friend with a quad copter came out to our last surf session in the West Edmonton Mall wave pool.
Lots of fun when it's minus 28 outside!

Nice Video I worked for the company (Surftech in Escondido CA) that made that pool in the early to mid eighties (can't remember that far back anymore) It use to make a bigger wave (as I remember) Cool to see you are still enjoying it
Been a LONG time since I surfed up there

The waves were a little off that night - a couple of the paddles were not working.
Normal surf is about half again as big.

Just add a reef, sharks, a couple of proners giving you the stink eye, and it would feel like home.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Warren,

Thanks for the video.... that was fun.

Nice!! (on mute ;D)  your posse of landlocked pool surfers could school a lot of the standies here on the coast. nice to be able to turn off the swells so you can get to the outside!  ;D
