LL Bean makes a large, rolling duffle bag that has worked well for me
I've been to the Caribbean 3 times with it. It passed the maximum size requirement for a suitcase, but can hold
an iSUP, 3 piece break down paddle, pump, extra fins, and some rash guard, clothes, etc.
Not to mention the odd bottle of $8 a  liter Mt. Gay rum as a souvenir coming home.
Just when you load it full, weigh it first, as it is possible to put over 50 pounds
in the bag. There are compression straps on the sides to make sure nothing rattles around,
robust wheels, a stout chassis, and an easily deployable rolling handle, in addition to various grab handles
and 1 outside zip pocket.

The best cases by far are the wheeled soft sided golf travel bags.  Most airlines do not charge extra for golf bags unless they exceed 50lbs.  Great protection and long enough for most two piece paddles.  Add your sundries and other bulky items and bring a carryon for the rest.  Mine is an Ogio and my 12'6" Touring fit easily.  Lots of cheap narrow bags out there, so make sure the bag is designed for a fat cart/tour bag.

Spook, my guess is Carry Grant, who I believe is the inventor of the carry-on...

Thanks crkrider and baddog, I really appreciate it.  If only you were more witty, you might be able to obtain peahi status.

GT, just bustin' your chops a bit  ;D.

I think any duffle bag, backpack, laundry sack, or garbage bag of choice would work fine.  The skin of most 'flatables is durable enough to withstand the wrath of baggage handlers.
I've flown w/ mine, and had no problems.

I use a rolling hockey bag.  Regular baggage charge and can get a 3pc Werner in there.  TSA always opens it up to see what's in there.

REI makes a large rolling duffel bag called the Wheely Beast that comes in a 34" version. I have not yet tried it myself but always thought I would pick one up if I ever needed to fly with my inflatable.

I managed to fit everything in a large suitcase. Nice thing is it has better corner protection and support than other types of bags.

Checks-in as standard baggage. My Werner 3-piece fits in too, but a lot of other paddles have longer pieces and would not.

Thanks for sharing this photo beaner, That's exactly what we like to see with our 3 piece SUP paddles!
