New Gerry Lopez Sweetie Pie 9'

Have ordered a new 2014 Gerry Lopez Sweetie Pie 9'. The 2014 is much wider - 30.625" than the earlier 8'10" and 9'4". Does anyone have experience and/or opinions on this?

My Lopez destroyed in shipment. Bummer. Another on the way. Ke nalu padlle with the big blade did show. Put it together and had a nice sess on the focus. More initial jump and power with it - thanks again to the zone boys for their help. Smaller diameter shaft is also cool if you have small hands - duh!

Sorry to hear that, but as we talked about this morning, it does happen. I had a nice session too, no crowd factor and steady supply of waist-chest lefts. This was my first session since California on that rental 8'10" and I missed the looseness of it, so I'm even more stoked to go smaller, I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Rick, I tried your Allwave when we switched and you rode my Watersedge. I liked it. I'm thinking of the Exocet 8'11" for my next toy. The Allwave is maybe a little more board than I want. I'm stuck working until Saturday, so hope you guys get some good waves on Friday.

Mr. BIG, Let us know what condition board #2 shows up in. Also I need some waves! Last week I was stuck at work while it was going off, and this week I'm off and no surf and I have a new board, well there may be some knee high killers tomorrow.

It's here! The Lopez 9' sweetie pie (second attempt by CEVA) was delivered today in perfect condition. Paddled in the lake behind my house. Felt great. Then went for a flat water paddle on the cove with Matt from the Pumphouse and traded the 10'6" for a spin in his 404 raceboard. Crazy fun! First time racin'! Mr. Big is sloow! A certain creekmeister participated in the initial lake paddle. He liked also! Can't wait to get it in waves!
