Pastor Chuck Smith moves on

Pastor Chuck went to be with Jesus last Thursday.

 Pastor Chuck Smith was my pastor's pastor. His Ministry grew into many world wide churches. He also impacted many surfers life's from the 1960s and on.
So I just wonder if there are any other paddle SUPers  here who have been effected form his life and ministry?

I listened to him exposit every chapter of the OT in my days at CCBC.

He was the real deal.

He had a teaching voice that was like an easy chair in full recline.

I listened to him on the radio on 107.9 fm at 3pm almost everyday. Going to miss him.

I attended Calvary Chapel for years, met my wife there.  I will miss Pastor Chuck

I Met the Lord at his Costa Mesa Wed nite service in 1977.  Listen to him every since that time on the radio and read many of his writings.         
He taught the Bible and the Bible only.  He will be missed.  Thanks for all the teaching and the memories Pastor Chuck !

I was affected by Chuck!
I went to CCBC in 1979 and again in 1991 when it was in Twin Peaks, near lake Arrowhead. In my H.S. Years we would go to Big Calvary Fri. Nights. I read many of his books and listened to him on the radio whenever I could. I also attended his sons, Chuck Jr.s church Calvary Capo Beach back when I lived in Laguna Niguel. That was a cool paddle out! Looked like Joey Buran leading things in the water, Ex pro surfer and Pipe Masters winner, turned Calvary Pastor, most of you know that I'm sure!

 He will be greatly missed!
