11'2" for Pops
« on: October 08, 2008, 05:44:40 PM »
My dad has been waiting a while for his own SUB; at 70 years old he's ready to take up a new sport. This one was a joint effort between myself and Glen Kennedy, deep double concaves and nice vee in the back. We used a template from a Brewer Pipeliner for the tail section.
Because I am going back to Hawaii for a couple of weeks I had to send this one to the glassers and did not get any more pictures before it left. I'll post more of the finished board when I get back.

Aloha,

Nice board and your pops must be stoked. I wish I could build a board but am a brokeanic. My dad was an understudy under Brewer when he was a kid and made me some cool boards as a boy.

Aloha

Got the board back from the glass shop and still had to polish it out myself, oh well. I left the deck sanded 'cause a pad is going on anyway. They ended up puting the fin box 3 inches behind the mark so I am going with a more vertical fin pushed all the way forward.

I will be taking the board to my dad on Thanksgiving, he has not seen it yet.
