This guy in the middle of picture standing behind his blue board is Andrew Logreco he came in first place ona 12'6"  beating many racers behind him on 17 foot unlimited boards . The picture was taken on a race from Waimea Bay to Haleiwa , about 4 miles open ocean ....  Oooh I almost forgot to mention his 12'6" is 22.5 inches wide :)

Beautiful board!  Perfect for cow-lined canal racing :P  Anything else is going to be a challenge at 24" wide.  Bet its fast

i have been pushing myself into ridding smaller and smaller boards its surprising how much you can improve your balance and if you get the shape and volume right how stable you can make them.

I will have to try that.  I know that width is the real x-factor.

That's very cool, Charlie.  I'm thinking of building a board for maybe some downwinding and lake cruising. Is that your own design, or is it something you started with a template from one of the software programs.  At the moment all I have is an iPad and I don't have the capability to use any of the software.  Know of any available plans out there?

And once again, congrats on another beautiful board!

its my own shape i drew it up on cad to get the outline i wanted then turned the numbers into a template.

i am part way through 26" wide 12'6  however this time trying a single concave under the middle i so will be interesting to see how they compare. colour choice was by a friend who the board will end up with.
