Lately, Ive been into the So-Cal resurgence of SURF ROCK. Definitely worthy. Comes with a hint of garage/psych mixed in but surf none the less. Here are a few bands that are killing it right now...Allah-las, Mystic Braves, The Growlers. This music has actually led me to start playing guitar for the first time too so I'm grateful for it. Enjoy.

Thank you for the introduction to the Growlers...they have quickly become a staple in my playlists.  Allah Las is also exceptional, but I have yet yo give the Mystic Braves much of a listen.

If you like these, you will like this also:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8oZxvnCHG4

Last night the Jimmy Fallon show was on fire, one of the best I've ever seen.  He had Phil Collins on there to tout his book "Not Dead Yet" and to play a song "In the Air Tonight".  He was backed up in part by The Roots, Quest Love's band, with Quest on the drums, Quest had admitted he was nervous and practiced a lot, to which Fallon was teasing him about thru the show.  Playing that song, on the drums, is no easy feat, especially if you are backing up Phil Collins of all people, the originator of that complicated drum riff.
Anyway he pulled it off, and you can see a big smile come across Quest's face when he nailed it, it was so good, it was chilling.

It takes a quiver to do that.

Great stuff!  This would actually be a good SUP'ing song with a bunch of dramatic slow-motion.   ::) ::) ::)

This version might also escape the Youtube song Nazi's.

Sam Moore of "Sam and Dave" is going to perform at the inauguration, I dug Sam and Dave, grew up in southern Ca. listening to soul music and the Mo-Town sound, it went really well with surfing, still does.
One of my favs that shows them at their best~

So cool. Diane and I had to listen to that twice. I love that song. Guilty pleasure, I was a Miami Vice fan. Loved the look and sound of that show. The plots sucked, and the writing was shit, but the sets and the way it looked was just great.

Thanks weasels!
Didn't realize it had been that long. Freddie mercury was such an amazing showman. He was a gifted with an incredible voice. A shame he died at such an early age.

Wow, that Aussie chickie is amazing. What a shredder, and a great voice too, not to mention all the other good genetic stuff going on. some folks just get it all.

Love Antwoord. They were great in that robot movie--can't remember the name. I expect they are pretty horrid people, but interesting.

This is great. Though Diane totally fucking hates it. Guy dances like Bob. Including holding his dick. Not Bob's, his own.
