Very nice.  I'll have to resize the pics that are on my iPhone, they're all larger than the 1mb limit ..

Interesting that there are so many mtb-ers (ok cyclists of all kinds)here on the Zone...-and that a lot of us seem to have moved the sport to the backseat since taking up SUP.  I find the two sports/activities very complimentary - a good balance.  ;D

Those rigids look sweet, espec. that Intense. wow.  I've loved all the 29r's i have tried out.  This is my ride i've been on since 07, this spring i rebuilt it with a 2x10 XT group. The XT brakes are amazing.  This pic was taken in the campground at Moab back at Easter.

my brother welds custom bike frames (bergbikes.com) so we call it the Bergtana. the front triangle is Columbus Zona steel, and from the pivots back it is a Ventana Saltamontes.   Travel is 4 and 4, just right for my XC tendencies, but it hucks ok too.

Yes, quite so, many riders in the Zone, and, for me too, it has taken a back seat ! Once a week....and on some ocassions !
I also find mtb and sup very complimentary, specially regarding the love for the open spaces. That said, i'd rahter surf than go downhill, although I welcome every hill, 'cause the falls are so different...LOL...
Oops, sun's coming out summer surf's up, low tide in 2 hrs, offshore breezes....

1995 Cannondale M400 I bought when they first came out with them. The Cdale rep was in town, then took the shop out riding, when they came back everyone raved about the bike so I bought it. I still have it. I've gone through a half dozen tires, a bunch of pads, a new saddle, etc but the bike is still in use. Was going to replace it but I don't use it that much anyway.  The last time I took it in someone said "OMG, it's vintage". Really? 20years old, I don't call that vintage. But it's been a great bike, no problems at all with it.

Soma Fabrications Groove 1x9.  Usually I ride with Time ATAC clipless pedals, but in this case I was preparing to attach the kid carrier and take the youngins for a ride.  I also have a Strong Racing Frames singlespeed...I'll have to take a pic of that too.  I only ride steel frames.

Y'all got some nice rides. I have a basic Specialized hard tail. Cheap and simple - not picture worthy even if I knew how to post a pic of it here  :D

The Cape has some surprisingly solid tracks for mtbing!  Nothing steep of course as the local mountain range is our town golf course at just over 200' above sea level, but there is great mid- technical riding and x country in the interior of the Cape that gets very little use as most tourists stick to the bike paths and canal.

After my M&M sells I plan to sell my current bike and get a hard tail 29er. Anyone want to buy s super fast M&M  ;)

Holy crap-noodle poppy.  I got an involuntary reaction out of looking at that Intense... kind of like that nude picture of Steffi Graf in my head in my late 20's.... ALL FREAKING BUSINESS... and dead sexy (yes, I have a thing for hard German women... I admit it).

I get the steel-love Dave, I forget how much I love steel, and then I hop on my old Sannino crit bike... and fall in love all over again (of course I have messed with the angles as a riding a true crit bike is akin to the penultimate scene in Braveheart)

That tall boy is more like a Cindy Crawford in her prime.  Take that chick anywhere and she will own the room.  I now officially have bike envy.

My riding has taken a massive back seat to standup... as in I haven't bought a mountainbike since I started... and I converted my old mountainbike to my surf transport mobile.  I ride road with my son... who now has a very serious girlfriend... so you know what that means... "Dad who?"  My fun time is super limited so I just don't see a lot of mountainbiking in the near future.

But I did just pick up Dava Kalama's Imagine prototype 14 foot downwind hollow carbon board... so I've got that going for me.  :)  That thing can catch a bump the size of a pea.

That Intense is a beautiful bike! I would love to take that thing for a spin! I was considering just such a bike when I was racing, but my SUP obsession has put a hold on my racing turning my legs into mush. I used to regularly go for long 50 mile endurance rides in the backcountry before SUP. I still have a fetish for nice, custom steel bikes though. I scour the internet looking at custom bike porn, especially cyclocross steel bikes like this one,

  I only ride steel frames.

Steel over aluminum anytime. My current steed is only 520 in the main triangle. Rigid fork is also steel, Salsa Cromoto. Nice vibration damping qualities. Even though rigid, with 2.35's it smooths out the trail just enough.
