To start of with, I'm a Buyer..not a seller..:D...I have a few boards and the Inflatables we use more, because we carry them on our Sailboat.  The Mistral 14' is one and I already gave a review of it....But that was Last Summer....:D....I needed to add to the collection :D

The Red Paddle 12'6 can inflate to 25 psi!!....which I did using a tire inflator with a adaptor.....the Standard Red air pump is very good, probably one of the best hand pumps to date. It easily got the board to 12-15....then I went with the electric pump to hit 25....WOW, is this board STIFF...I mean, it is almost like a hard board....It also has side Battens that you insert to make it even stiffer.

But the BEST thing about the Board is the FIN System.....You can put any Fin you want..YEAH!!....most inflatables are stuck with with slide in fin or permanently mounted.

The Next thing I liked was the Front small skeg...just enough to keep you going straight...I'll see how it works out.

The next thing is the Bag...probably the best one so Far.  I'll try it out this weekend in Pensacola Fl. The Mistral, I can cruise at 3.7 to 4.0 mph....I'm anxious to see what the Red Paddle 12'6" will do...Its a 6 in. thick board, 30 in. wide.

HERE is the FRONT Skeg

25 PSI has got to feel like epoxy. Thanks for the review. Have you had it in the water yet?

Really excited to hear an on water review! Would love to hear how it compares with stiffness to the other inflatables you have owned. Thanks for sharing.

To answer a few questions:

It's costs 1549.00 with free shipping, from Air Kayaks

Yes it's really hard to tell it from a hard board, by feel :D

I'll try it this weekend with a GPS

Love the Ventral Fin concept. Flattered to see some companies are paying attention. Beautiful inflatable my friend.

The ventral fin works really well. It is not very deep, maybe an inch or less but I was amazed how well it tracked, Even in a crosswind.  The board paddles very nicely, at 25 PSI it really does feel like a hardboard. If you jump up-and-down in the middle it does still have some flex like an inflatable but it's the hardest one I've had so far :D.  The board is more stable than my 14 foot mistral, but it is also wider. I'm going to put a GPS on it today, I forgot yesterday, it was also pretty windy yesterday

Are those side battens effective?  Are they fiberglass?

Yes, they are fiberglass and seem like they help.  They are put in before inflation and And once inflated, they are locked in under the pressure. Although, it would be good to try without them just to confirm How effective they really are.

GPS Data in:...Im 215 lbs...6 ft.  and the Red Air paddleboard avg 3.7 mph on a Cruise stroke for a mile...going into slight head wind one way and a side wind on the return....Sprinted up to 4.4...but I'm not a good sprinter..I'm 57 yo also. :D

Mistral 14' inflatable did almost the Same numbers...maybe a little more glide with the 14' though.

The 12'6" Red Air race inflatable was more stable at 30 in. than the mistral 14' inflatable at 28.75".....

I like both of these boards a lot....Don't be afraid to add a Red air 12'6" RACE, to your Quiver..its a good board.
