hopefully that is just one surfer opinion and not the majority of the surfer that surf there.  We are playing in their habitat, it the risk(drowning, etc) that we take.  I have more chance of drowning or get hit by a SUP or my own sup killing me than a shark attack.

tragic.  are we safer on sups?

i was out at my main reef break last night.  its right by a deep channel, and rumored to be patrolled by a big ass tiger we call the landlord.  

prone surfing out there around dinner time is eery to say the least.  i feel much safer out of the water on the sup with a command center view of the place.

just google "SUP shark attack" and you probably will find no injury from the paddler but the board on the other hand is a different story.
