Shovel Looking Handle

Interesting

More interesting is how it goes on the paddle.  I have water in my favorite paddle and I don't want to cut it down to get the handle off.

How many remember skiers thumb from the goofy era of bayonet handled ski poles.  :o

Looks like someone is trying to re-invent the wheel.  In this case - the wheel is not broken and works perfectly fine.
Easy Rider is the name of my store in Edmonton, AB, Canada.
My name is Warren Currie . . . and we SUP Surf indoors . . . in a shopping mall!

So what is the motion you are making where this would be an improvement? I just can't imagine it.

Reach through the hole palm up and grip - it'll work your biceps...  :-)

Ok, so I can imagine a motion one might make with it, I should have said "I can't imagine an advantageous motion it would be good for"

Is that handle for flat water or surfing? I'd be afraid of getting my hand stuck in the handle while going over the falls!

If you are gripping the top of your paddle so hard that you need this handle, then you have some serious technique issues to worry about (-:

Can't wait to put one on my outrigger paddles... not!

It looks really good on the eventuality of finding some dog sh&t on the beach.
Then you can use your shov... I mean paddle to take it to the next bin.

I think Johnny hit the nail on the head.....might also be good if I get stuck in the snow or sand... ???

The idea might have some merrit if it was wider and longer, allowing a choke stroke without having to hold vertical but as it is I don't see it.

Good idea Stoneaxe, give it a more rectangle shape.

Well how would you grip that thing?
