Florida events coming over the next few months

I am putting this on here because I found out there was an event pretty much almost in my backyard and did not hear or know about it.  I am not on facebook, could care less about it.  But it seems like you have to search far and wide to find out about these events.  So I did.  Here is what I found coming up in 2013 in Florida.

March 16 -- Mayor's cup race 2 in New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169

March 30 -- Florida state paddle board championship in Cocoa Beach, FL 32931

April 13 -- 10th Annual Shark bite challenge in Dunedin, FL 34698

April 19 -- Siesta Key Classic in Siesta Key, FL 34242

April 20 --  Mayor's cup race 3 in New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169

May 5 -- Sweetwater Paddle for the cure in Tampa, FL 33607

May 10 -- 16th Annual Key West Classic in Key West, FL

May 11 -- Mayor's cup race 4 in New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169

May 17 -- Paddle Addict Florida Cup in Treasure Island, FL 33706

June 1 -- Paddle for Humanity in Deerfield Beach, FL 33441

June 8 -- Surfguys Sup Race in Melbourne, FL 32935

June 13 -- East Coast Paddle Board and SUP Championship in Daytona Beach, 32114

This is awesome for a guy that lives smack dab in the middle of all of these, is still recovering from a torn bicep, has delayed his ordering of a new custom board so it doesnt arrive too early and causes him to rush back onto the water too soon. then having to build back the stamina:(

Hey UD,  I am right about where you are.  Waiting for a gap in my work schedule to have shoulder surgery for a post labral tear on one shoulder which is hindering recovery on a slap tear and a bankhart tear on my other shouler.  All probably won't happen until june. Meanwhile, i have been reading this forum top to bottom trying to make up my mind as to which 14 foot board I want to get.

Anyways, I found more races.

Thank you for the tip. I was just about to start looking for races in our area. Just purchased a new 14 ft Bark and started training. Long time surfer turned sup surfer and now hope to learn the racing aspect. Stoked!

www.supngo.com   4 Race series in Melbourne. Working on the registration and classes. We will also be having the BIC One Design Race along with it.

Bump for a Michigander that just became permanent down in FL. I have been doing some searching online, but are there any additions to the list of events for the "Fall".

I know on the Gulfside there is a little series put on by CGT Kayaks. 3 races left I think...this weekend, 10/4, then the last one late October.

Also, there is a 13 mile race, "Race around palm island" coming up in a month or so.
