PUGET SOUND PADDLING - EDMONDS/EVERETT/SEATTLE AREAS
« on: January 26, 2013, 02:45:28 PM »
Looking for some people to paddle with out on the Sound or inland waters around Everett, Edmonds, Seattle, etc.. I've been launching from Picnic Point in north Edmunds/Mukilteo every weekend for the last couple months and have yet to see anyone. Any takers?

Picnic Pt is a ~200 yds carry over the tracks (each way).  Muk Lighthouse is 20 steps & closer to where Patch feeds.  With the high pressure fog thinning I'll be around both some w/e early mornings unless there is fresh cascade concrete.   Silver Pathfinder.

Salt, Ha...yeah, my wife is reluctant go from Picnic Point. It's a long carry, especially after a long paddle. I'll come up to the lighthouse next weekend and try to link up. Getting a new board this week, so I'll be wanting to try it out.

Oki, I'll look for you in May. And, I friended those guys on facebook. Thanks.

Take care.

Meant to ask before, but what do you mean by "where Patch feeds"?  Got my new board, but didn't have time to get up to Mukilteo. Too many superbowl things going on.

Now that daytime low tides are back I'd be up for a freighter wave session on the Sound.  Know any good spots?  There's a sandbar near Richmond Beach that creates some waves when the tide is right but it's a long carry and it can get pretty windy there.  The waves aren't much and you never know too far in advance if any freighters are coming but at least you don't have to drive 3 hours to the coast or the Strait!

Anyone training for Around the Rock?  My wife and I paddle a lot on Lake WA and would love to paddle/train with some folks.
