I'd love to see what the Bar does. I had a guy in NC decide he wasn't going to pay us for some computer work we did. Took it to the  bar and he ended up paying. It took some work but the guy sent us a check and said there was a "misunderstanding".

 Since one of the parties is a district attorney for the county of Santa Cruz, the state has to prosecute.
 I can say that Don (the perp; probably the first time he has been called that in court) has been keeping a VERY low profile.
 I have only seen him once and that was right out in front of his house. He does not do his strolls around Pleasure Point anymore and no sightings of him surfing.

I thought I saw him in the Bowling alley on Rice street in Lihue. He had on an aloha shirt, sun glasses and panama hat ! There are a lot of people who come here to hide out from their past or from their fame. They think that nobody sees who they are but that's not true. Just that nobody cares !

I've wondered about this myself.  I have two attorneys in my family and they have all their attorney friends.  I showed them (the two in my family) this thread and connected article.  While they both indicated this guy is a worthless douche canoe they really doubt he'll be de-barred.  He'll pay a fine and restitution at most.
