The gift exchange
« on: August 03, 2008, 11:05:34 AM »
We had a little gift exchange this morning at the house with Leleo.
Stoked him out on the new deck pads and Holy smokes... a new paddle for the Mrs and I to play with.  The spear is pretty darn impressive.  Now I just have to get the time, pick up boards and get it into the water, why O why is there only so much time in a day ???
I saw the Spear in action yesterday at the Oceanside race and it looks good.  Nice view from the peir of Leleo blazing by with it.
Looks like the sick days are going to be in full force this week, cough cough.

Beautiful paddle!....koa edges?, poplar and what else? I love the shape. Looks like it will feel great in a wave. What are the specs....blade length, width, weight....inquiring minds.... ;D Leleos paddles have so much mojo built in.

Whew, I love that.

Did Leleo say if he designed this as a race paddle?  Great shots as well.  Hard to tell what the countour is on the blade face.  Dyhedral?  Flat?  Did I say that I love that?

I saw him at the start of the Molo race and this is what he was using. I think this is also the one he is going carbon with. Been seeing these around and they look nice. The blade shape makes sense. I think (assume) you would go a little longer. He owes me a favor so I may order one while that is still fresh...

there are something like 10 of them flowering :o and taking over.  My wife says that they are the perfect blast shields from the west sun during the summer with all the different sizes.
