HELP! Anyone have a 14" or so racing board?
« on: July 23, 2008, 12:09:23 PM »
Team rider is coming into town on Sunday from Honolulu and is racing in the Oceanside event on Aug. 2nd.  She cannot get a board here for a one day event courtesy of our friends in the airline industry.
Does anyone have one she can borrow for the event ???  Only exception is that it cannot be a C4.

airlines didnt buy it  that the pope-super-quadruple-X4-sect is a carry on in its mini-cooper sized carrying bag.

Perhaps they found it odd that she (I assume its Candice?) wanted to transport an airplane WING........ on an airplane?  ;D

bummer, hope you find a board for her.  i'm sure someone will have something.  maybe steamroller will lend you his ULI SUP.  :D

not sure if this is true, so don't quote me, but i think airlines won't take anything longer than 12'.  i was talking to some of the hennessy guys from cali at turtle bay and they said that their stock paddleboards came with them on the plane but the unlimited guys had to ship their boards via freight company.  $350 roundtrip.

Actually, they CAN'T take anything much longer than that, the can't get thim into the cargo pods in any reasonable way. Slide them into the overhead, I'd say.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
