Starboard Atlas Extra
« on: September 10, 2012, 12:30:01 PM »
Looking at the Starboard Extra 36" wide, no where for me to test one, looking for anyone who can give some insight. Need a stable board, I'm 6'-9", any other recommendations would be welcomed.

I'd say your best bet would be to play basketball.

Also have a LPC 14 footer about 31 inches wide great lake board.

I'd highly recommend the South County 10Ft Another great option for us big guys is the Fanatic Fly 11'6 (33 wide) Floats great does everything (flatwater, waves, sail, fish) reasonably well. I wouldn't go to anything wider than 34" it is just over kill

What type of paddling do you plan on doing?

If it is mainly flat water - then the Atlas Extra would be a great choice.
We have sold them to lots of big and tall people - all with rave reviews.
Easy Rider is the name of my store in Edmonton, AB, Canada.
My name is Warren Currie . . . and we SUP Surf indoors . . . in a shopping mall!
