Hey JD...

Thanks for the Exocet pics..that looks like it might be the 12-6 in the pics..yes/no?  More importantly, is there a Canadian distributor or rep?
Aerotech is listed on the Exocet site for Canada and the U.S. Any insight would be appreciated. (That is indeed a nice price for a carbon board  ;))

Anymore info and pics of the 14?

What are people's thoughts on the 14' Bark Dominator?

Thinking about picking one up this weekend....

I like it and think it's one of the best 14s out there.

The Hobie definitely seems to fit the bill for your interests on paper. Good volume, great stability for it's width and good performance in a wide range of conditions. Paddleboard specialists have two for sale under 2k right now. One used and one that has been repaired.

Easy Rider mentioned the SB touring, which also gets high praise for a stable, high volume board that is fast.

The SB Coast Runner might be an option, but is more noted for performance in rough open water, than being a flat water performer. Still a stable board for it's width, high volume, and gets good reviews for being solid in all conditions.

The newer Bark/Laird tuflite looks like a good option for a 200 pounder as well. PB specialists have one of these on sale too at 1999.00.

What? A reasonably-priced 14' board? I might have to consider this. When does this board show up in the shops?

Already here... We have them at the warehouse in Daytona Bch, Fl. Call for a dealer near you: 386-760-992Six and ask for Steve or Curtis for Dealer locaton on the Exocet SUPs... I Rep them from Charleston, SC down to Indialantic Beach Fl (904-806-399Zero)...    Paddle on;     JD

Do you have any pictures of the bottom of the hull? Just wondering if it's a concave, flat, or some V etc.

Looks like a similar design as the SB rounded/clog shape hulls except wider with more volume. What would you classify the design as?

I have a dominator and its best board i have used. A bit fragile but great fun to use for training, downwinders and of course racing.

was all set to get a 12'6 competitor and when I came across an end of season deal on a Dominator I bit the bullet.  After a few days and a local race later - I am 100% stoked on my last minute decision.  I could not be any happier

Yes David; That IS the 12'6 Carbon Marlin in the shots above. I'll post one of the 14' from Surf Expo below (that is the one now on my demo van -vbg)...
For help locating a dealer (or to become one), Call Steve at 386-760-992Six...        Paddle on,       JD

Note> In the pic below: not a very good shot of the 14' Green Carbon Marlin (behind the silver 8'11) but it's basically a 12'6 Marlin on steroids... Specs: 14'X30"; 340 Liters and 15kg

Thanks JD..

I never considered becoming a dealer... :D

Anyways, please be sure and take some pics of your 14 as soon as possible - it sure looks nice.
The mast base attachment is a surprise bonus too!

That 14 foot board is an intriguing board. It has a lot going for it: great price for the size, mast insert, tie-downs. I'm impressed.

How's the construction, compared to, say, the Kona One? I paddle where rocks are a fact of life. A solid board is a necessity.
