Hi Everyone,

I did some searches and couldn't find an answer.

What is the difference if any between:  Boardworks EVC Epoxy Vacuum System vs. PVC Vacuum Bagged?

That is not a term I am not familiar with and am going to guess it is an "in house" name for a resin infusion or resin transfer method.  Their primary advantage is, assuming equal skill in design and layup, they are more compatible with automation and production line techniques.  Pre-preg vacuum bagged should get you a structure with as little extra resin as the others.  So it all comes down to time, labor and capital investment.

I would be super stoked to see someone doing resin film infusion

Celeste thanks for the links....The terms I used come from the Paddle Surf Hawaii site.

His new Hull Paddlers use PVC Vacuum Bagged construction and the PSH boards made by Boardworks are using EVC.

I know very little about construction.

Just wondering which is more durable and if possible which construction would be lighter?

Aloha from honolulu. In my experience and what i have seen the pvc is stronger. The weight seems very similar.
