SURFTECH Shootout Finals
« on: March 22, 2012, 09:01:15 PM »
When down to Santa Cruz to hand out some flyers for the Gold Beach Challenge June 10th - 13th.  Hope to get some of you up for the $3,750 in prize money.   Congratulation  to Matt Becker  he looked great all weekend.  Huge bomb at the end.  Steamer is tough place to shoot so I know I missed some of the waves when I was finishing the shoot inside.  Sun came out for the finals so the light for the finals made it tough to encode.  More to come.  Zoner Avery solid in the finals.

Thanks for watching.  I plan on getting some more up this week. Shot the race not sure what to do with that.  Can't believe the wipe outs the final day at Sunset did not get more views. http://www.standuppaddleboarding.tv/Sunstepro_round_3_wipeouts.html

You did a great job getting some good rides in there, Beachcomber! And your footage from the Sunset finals is also INCREDIBLE!!

Make a Surftech Duel-athlon race video!

Can't wait to see what you do!

Fun video Ted. You had such a great angle for the inside.
It was good to meet you there.  ;D

Thanks for the positive comments.  They start so far out with the teleconverter then go whipping by to the inside.  A full 160 degree swing.

Ok I am working on the race.  First race I have watched so I was not up to speed on what to expect yet film.  Should I post here in General of in the race section?

Ryan
Great to talk with you and hope you make it up to my event.  I have so much to learn.

Southwesterly.
Pretty cool to meet you and love the pic of your grandson.

Thats the winner Mat Becker from Santa Barbara.  Yea and he stuck it.

Thought it best to cover this in one post and thanks again for the support.  SUP is so much fun to shoot.  I get a little lost on the web with the eddie and pipe masters with all the coverage.  Stand Up has not gotten the attention it deserves so it feels like I can contribute.

Race section makes most sense. For races, its usually getting in the water, a couple of turns and coming into the beach that is most exciting, due to the fact that there are just long stretches of repetitive motions. Have fun!
