I am looking for a decent 2 or 3 piece paddle for flat water and bays.

Which would you recommend?

Werner makes a good quality three piece, I've had a Nitro for over a year and it works well for surfing as well as flat water. The shaft is not as flexable as a one piece but being able to adjust the length is a big plus. Hobie and Naish make three piece paddles also. Good luck. T

Quickblade makes a couple of nice 2 piece paddles.  The Kanaha all carbon and the Kanaha fiberglass/carbon. Check them out.

One quick question?
Why do you want a 2 piece paddle?

Only asking because a 1 piece paddle is so much better.

And yes - Quickbalde make an awesome 2 piece paddle.

Agreed.  2 years ago I bought a paddle to use in the East Coast.  I found that you could buy lightweight aluminum paddles for ~ $70 shipped that were less than half the cost and about half the weight of a 2 piece paddle.  So just buy 2!
