Free standing sup rack

I need to build a free standing rack . has anyone done this?  do you have pictures  and/or Ideas?  I have no room in the garage and  I will need to incorporate a cover. I cannot attach it to the wall.  It will be out side/ I will have locks on it..  Thoughts pictures?  Thanks

there are a number of home build racks and modified pole racks that can be modified to meet your needs. 

There are:
 - Vertical racks that Riviera uses to show off their used boards (more show than storage)
 - Bike racks that attach to a bicycle seat post will give you a good solid hold and you can secure the board to a post of some variety.
 - Home built pipe construction would allow you to customize the build any way you like and pipe insulation would keep the board safe.
 - Chain or cable racks on the ceiling would be my choice. Some place shady and out of the weather, adding a fin box cable lock for security.
 - Gatekeeper board locks...good for longboard, don't know if they're big enough for SUPS.  Could be used to bolt into a stationary surface.

I'm sure by the end of this thread you'll have more ideas that time to build 'em.

I made a rack outside for a remodel. Used 2 4x4 posts, mounted them on anchors stuck in the ground, drilled some angled holes, inserted 3/4" pipe, covered with padding and had a rack. Being temp I used a tarp but you can add a roof with ease.

Sorry but my rack was taken down once my house was rebuilt. I now have a shed next to the garage where the boards are stored. But they are starting to overflow into the garage.
