Wow.

Makes me want to do some of that, except for the part about having 20 years of experience at 23.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Thanks for digging that one up Admin.  Stunning vid.  I really liked the one waterfall where he ejects his blade, holds on the handles and does a lawn dart imitation.  How tough are those kayaks?  Some of those falls were just a thin veneer of water over rock.  Man, fun to WATCH.

HM,

How absurd are the skills at every one of these sports right now?  Kids getting on this stuff from true grom ages and progressing for two decades when the learning curve is vertical.

PS:  that run earned him second :) :o

How pro are the cameras they used??? like the NFL style field camera on the wire... cut into various others on the ground so you get to see a virtual 360 of the run.  Blown away how good that vid was.  Watched the winning run also and there was a comment complaining about all the runs not being on one vid.  I guess in video sometimes, like in divorce, too much is never enough.  (BTW I'm happily married...but I've heard about these things, like Johnny Carson and Paul McCartney)  Don't know how guys whine about something they see for free.

How do you find these great vids Admin?  I know, you'd have to kill me.

CRAZY STUFF!!!  I remember reading a Kayak magazine about 10 years ago with an article about "first descents"....It was a big thing...get a photographer, find some outrageous drops....get your picture taken and GET THE GLORY!!!  Maybe even get the run named for you!!.....If I recall right the article went on to mention that 4 of the the top 20 "first descenders" had died in the last two years attempting to break new barriers.......not sure if its worth it!!!! ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!!   TDE

Although video of paddling may not be worth it, all paddling is well worth it.  Whitewater paddling at all levels and skills is great fun.  The cool thing is that beginners and intermediate paddlers all have just as much fun if not more than the top guys like Rush.  After 20 years of paddling whitewater, I can still easily find a new river, push a new personal limit or keep on charging down the same streams I've done for years.  It never gets old and is always an epic adventure.  If something gets old in a kayak, then I can try it in a canoe, c1, raft or sup.  Or, better yet, teach someone else.  The fun never ends
